The history of RBT Transmissions follows the dynamic career of Roy Butfoy, who was a member of Ford's GT racing team at LeMans. Roy was later instrumental in setting up Ford's ZF re-manufacturer program during the time Lincoln-Mercury imported the Pantera. After he passed away in 2000, his son Lloyd Butfoy left the CART/Indycar series after 12 years as a Gearbox Technician to run RBT Transmissions.
